Judgment Collections
When you win a legal case and have a judgment for payment of money, you are entitled to that payment. Unfortunately, judgments do not enforce themselves. The law, however, does give the holder of a judgment power to enforce the judgment. There are numerous tactics that can be used to enforce a judgment, including liens on real property, wage and bank account garnishments, and execution and levies.
Judgment collection is much more likely to be successful through active enforcement because the judgment holder may seize money or property sufficient to pay the judgment.
The best approach for judgment collection depends on the circumstances of the judgment debtor, the amount of money involved, and the money or property owned by the judgment debtor. If you have an unsatisfied judgment, Rosser Law, P.C., has the experience necessary to help you collect the payment you are entitled to.
At Rosser Law, P.C., our main goal is to provide our clients the maximum amount of recovery in the shortest amount of time. The direct intervention by an attorney in commercial debt collections frequently results in greater and quicker recovery on outstanding debt and business receivables. Debtors are not likely to ignore a collection letter from an attorney, and only a licensed attorney can file a lawsuit to collect a debt in a Court of record.
